What did a fan gain?
Im guessing a fan that is willing to pay whatever the 12thman demands is gaining season tickets from a fan that is not willing to pay? Just my guess?
The 12thman foundations charter is to raise funds for support of the athletic department is it not?
If you just held an auction for tickets, you'd end up with more of what the OP was complaining about, not less, as you'd have a bunch of new season ticket holder buying simply because they can. Maybe they use them, maybe they buy so their friends without points can piggyback, maybe they sit empty.
As things stand right now, we're making a good return on tickets, and the seats are as full as anywhere in college baseball. You could raise ticket prices beyond the almost 300% mine have increased since 2022, and it wouldn't make any meaningful difference to the bottom line. If all we do is trade off a bunch of folks who have supported Aggie baseball when it wasn't a tough ticket for a new group, my guess is that it won't be a good thing for Aggie baseball.
