So why "decommit"?
Only thing I can think of is to not take up a spot. Might discourage others from committing and it would also allow us to use that scholarship on someone else given the recent reduction in scholarship numbers.
Makes you wonder if we're just not going to allow sure-fire draft risks to sign going forward which would be wild.

Not sure why but seems way too early to be committed if you have his reputation. Play the game. Make colleges and the pros bid on you until the last min. Only risk is if he gets hurt or in trouble with the law. He prob not being paid until he officially signs. Maybe spending money to say he's committed. He's in control right now.

That's what the LSU side is hearing. UT staff were notified by him he was de committing
So if he's that high a pro prospect. He's going pro. So not a big deal at all that he's decommitted.
His ranking keeps going up, at this point decommitting seems like a moot point, he will be going pro and I can't blame him one bit.
