I don't think he had a choice. tu via CDC was already pulling the strings on him. We know at this point the deal had been done long before Omaha. He's proven he has no integrity. Winning the natty very well could've been a deal breaker. You can't go win a natty for our most hated rival then come here. It was already bad enough as runner up. CDC obviously has some strong power and influence over him and there is no doubt in my mind at some point he told our former coach he had to throw it in some form or fashion if the opportunity arose.
Man, some of you guys need to take a break from the conspiracy theory stuff.

As much as Schloss wanted to get back together with CDC, his ego is such that there is no way he would have intentionally thrown the CWS. If that's what he was trying to do, he did a really poor job of it. Take a step back and see how implausible your idea is.

Think it has been well known for years that he was not a players coach, heck someone on here pointed that out 10 years ago and we chose to ignore it since he won games.

I had heard things before we got him. But at that time it seemed to me it was just players that were bitter bc they did not get playing time.

I had not seen any interviews such Boomer Whites and Chestnuts. Which of course were after he left.

There was also a post from a parent of the 2022 team saying the players bonded together to overcome his antics.

Maybe some knew the truth but I did not until recently.

It takes a REAL level of batsht CRAZY to talk yourself into this level of thinking.

You know what's sweeter than stealing a national runner-up coach if you're diabolical?

Stealing an active national champion head coach. Every AD's dream.

AD connection was important aspect along with Austin lifestyle. Similar to our AD getting Jimbo at that time.

I don't think he threw the series. But I also don't think he was mentally in it 100%. He wanted to win the title for himself and his resume… not for A&M or the players

This. I don't think he intentionally threw the series, but there's absolutely no way he was mentally locked in at the level needed to win it. It just wouldn't be possible regardless of how much your ego wants it.

You could make the same argument re: Cain sending Monty in the super regional.

Schloss is/has been at the three baseball powers in this state and he is 0-2 with current players following him. If I was a tu parent that should be a red flag. It should be a red flag for any recruit too.

As opposed to "I like to share my partner with other men" being a red flag?!
What I said was factual that anyone could find out via google. He was an ass to players that didn't have the trajectory to be a draft pick. The better player you were, the better you were treated. Boomer said it best - he's a transactional coach. He only cares about the players on his teams that can help his career. Where are the no named players vouching for him? Only MLB players. All of this can be verified.

Kinda hard to verify the swinging stuff, but I do believe it. There were also rumors of him sending pictures to members of the dance team he fought so hard to incorporate into the game day atmosphere. That girl or girls should release the photos. I would.
