Whoop! First of all, congrats to RP on getting drafted and opting to come back for another year to hone his craft. Bigtime boost for our program for this next year. Bigtime for RP as well.
I want to make a joke about the Angels so bad right now, but i’m holding back. The Hammer is back. The religious diversity on this team is at an all time high @ryanprager10 https://t.co/LuJ94mwmyT

Big news which on top of everything else coming back could make us pre-season #1.
We will be #1.
Schott is hilarious.jkag89 said:I want to make a joke about the Angels so bad right now, but i’m holding back. The Hammer is back. The religious diversity on this team is at an all time high @ryanprager10 https://t.co/LuJ94mwmyT

He has a ton of leverage as a sophomore. If he was a junior, this wouldn't be happening.Agryan00 said:
I thought this was a good probability when LAA gave a record deal to 11th round pick Trey Gregory Alford (HS kid from Colorado). They overpaid him by $1.8MM thus meaning LAA is going to have a hard time signing anyone else. Prager was the highest slot money at just under $1MM still to sign. I am guessing he got an offer somewhere between $500-700K. In a worst case scenario you are going to get this deal again next year why not return? Prager should get between $500K and $1.5MM next year if he performs the same and could get closer to $2MM+ if he takes his game to the next level.
I wonder if MLB teams are still operating as though NIL doesn't exist. Maybe they need this wakeup call.Agryan00 said:

Nailed it. The full return of the team immediately sets an expectation that we know will see adversity in some form next season. How much latitude gets extended, especially from the like of TA. With the talent we have, hopefully we are able to look forward and play through it and ignore the surrounding rhetoric. Every effort has to be made to avoid finger pointing. Earley was the right call to keep it in check.94chem said:
Will be very interesting to see how this team responds. After they drop a few hard to understand games with the new staff, then make a good run in the SEC, how will they handle expectations once the post-season starts? As good as they look on paper, the random nature of baseball dictates a systematic approach that ignores the weight of expectations and focuses on simple execution pitch after pitch, and letting the chips fall where they may. How will this group handle it?
