Agreed. We should stop worrying about getting back at the sips and focus on what we can do for this program. Revenge is a dish best served in Nebraska Earley next summer.

A lot of "successful" coaches are because of their players and assistants. Early was one of those who made coach from Austin look good. Popovich, Belichick...

Proven head coaches were not willing to walk into the situation at A&M
If things went bad the new coach is looking at having to play an
SEC schedule with a roster full of portal guys that nobody else wanted.
When a manager has a big bag of NIL cash and first pick of portal talent you can rebuild quickly. I would guess most guys that are SEC ready have already found a new team

But early on we were told the best coaches were already in contact with A&M.
MLB coaches would quit right now for the chance to come here.

When you get fed lines like that only to bring back and promote someone who just left you have to wonder.

The calendar was a huge part of it. Texas did this to inflict the most damage possible. They had Schloss wrapped up and knew what they were going to do. We were the only big school looking for a coach. Everyone else has their coaches and the 2025 season starts tomorrow with the freshman arriving.
