If you watched how Schloss answered the questions about the bunt during the in game interview, you would completely understand this comment. When he answered that there had been a lot of strikeouts with a smile on his face, it seemed very odd.

Yes i came here to post this. His answer regarding chestnut putting a bunt down with two strikes was straight up bush league and couldnt believe a head coach would say that about a player. Wish i could find the clip of it.

I'd like to know if Jim mentally abused Ryan Targac and for how long.

I'm hopeful but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Everyone knew Schloss was a hard ass. People were putting down other posters on this forum at the idea of giving Targac another shot in the batting order after we went into a slump. Schloss put him on first base as a coach. No one criticized. He's openly talked about how he doesn't just give people a shot because the top of our batting order has a bad series. His mentality got us to within a hairs width of a National Championship. That's what people really care about at the end of the day. wins.

I remember when I heard it thinking oh they probably have a really good relationship together to be able to rib each other like that. Similar to when Schloss told Kent you swing at everything in the super regional post game press conference. Boy was I wrong about that.

That Kent press conference was puzzling. I did not come across as they might have a good relationship. Once I heard that, I was convinced there was no way Kent would be in an Aggie uniform next year. I couldn't understand why Schloss was doing that publicly.

Jim is a mental abuser. It's a style that is not hardass coaching. Jim needs someone closely watching him. There will be a case where he'll go off on someone and it will not be a good ending. I do have experience with these types. I would have never guessed this about Jim as I didn't know anything about him but wins & losses. Folks normally don't see this side (mental abuser) of a person as they hide it well. Someone usually comes forward. This guy not being with our program is a blessing. Unfortunately, he will abuse tu players and that's not right either. But, tu administration have to "manage" Jim now that he's in Austin. He's a nightmare..

Earley maybe wanted to be in the dugout so he could keep Schloss's outburst to the players to a minimum.

Well done by the interviewers to start by honoring the team success for the year but they missed a huge question in NOT asking what the vibe was like when sips fired their coach and the rumors started flying schlossdick was going before start of game 3.

As others have stated 100% he was holding back on criticism of schlossdick.
