We have to bury the sips now. This looks embarrassing, and we all know, John $harp doesn't like looking stupid.

I predict a big splash hire with someone that is a great recruiter.
Sharp is a ****** and his last idea of a splash hire was Stoops. It took a revolt of the BMAs to quash that.

My gut kept telling me he wasn't a good person
Mine too. You could hear it in his dismissive, smartass, D bag attitude every time he was interviewed. And I willingly chose to dismiss it bc he was winning.

Sounds like pretty much every other high-end specialist I've met. PHD reputations come to mind. You have to have some extreme confidence and subject matter knowledge to excel at a position like that. I would expect it to make it hard to endure fools. Some are just better at hiding it than others. Some even still like people.

He excelled at baseball, but not so much with anyone outside of it. I'm so glad they got that question on video though. Liar. Write that. Instant classic. I'm also amazed that tu hadn't coached him better on what to say when it comes. When. Now he's been exposed, on the national stage, for who he is at the core.

I hope the stench lingers.

Amy Chestnut Trevino hit the nail in the head. After we defeated Tennessee 9-5 in Game 1 and led 1-0 through at the end of the 6th inning, we were just 9 outs away from sweeping Tennessee 2-0 to win our first ever CWS series title. Instead, Tennessee outscored us by a combined 10-1 across the next 10 innings (4-0 in the last 3 innings of Game 2 and 6-1 in the first 7 innings of Game 3) before we scored 2 runs in the 8th and 2 more runs in the 9th inning to make the final score of 6-5 much more respectable. Jim Schlossnagle and his entire staff were probably distracted with the upcoming Texas job and did not seem to care about finishing the task at hand.

Nice guys may finish last, but we still need to go after both winning and character. Good, high character guys aren't necessarily the same as nice guys. We need to fight back with everything we have. Hopefully, we will win at least 2 out of 3 games against Jim Schlossnagle and the Texas longhorns in their return to Olsen Field.
