The sec analysts think we save lamkin for Sunday which wouldn't be terrible , Tanner jones most likely

Did tenn pitch their day 1 guys? I heard them say tomorrow's pitcher was a stud. I'm guessing they don't have 3 days worth of pitching based on Evansville series.

Definitely Lamkin, Cortez, Ashenbeck. They're gonna lay it on the line tomorrow. Rest or no rest. They wanna bring the trophy back Monday, not playing on Monday.

If they don't start Lamkin tomorrow, be ready for the BAS disciples going ballistic and questioning Schloss's management.

Lamkin does not have to pitch tomorrow. Agree with the SEC now crew. We will use an opener and Cortez.

We don't need tomorrow if tenn runs thru their pen tomorrow. The best left will fo Monday unti/ if tomorrow's game calls for it.

I know it's hard to do. But try and do some critical thinking.

The Vols are throwing their best pitcher on full rest tomorrow.

Asch just threw 45 pitches. Lamkin needs more rest.

It would be stupid to throw Lamkin under the above conditions when he could go game 3 with Asch ready.

Lamkin would be going on one day less rest than needed.

Tomorrow sets up better for TN. I would not burn Lamkin on short rest as I think we'd have the pitching advantage on Monday.

Or Cortez. Unless we are in it late ( tomorrow) and feel it can be closed out.

Why would he pitch on Monday? 2025 practice shouldn't start that early

my thiughts EXACTLY. i wouldnt even pitch Cortez. Tomorrows all about batting practice amd rest.

If we lose game 3 with our best staff, so be it. but colossal blunder to have them go tomorrow.

their #3 starter has the lowest ERA of the starters and I think he has been pitching pretty good recently.

If we are in a position to win tomorrow, say after the 4th, we throw the damn kitchen sink at em imho.

No need to give them any daylight whatsoever.

Don't cede game 2, and then hope for game 3 execution. Their back is against the wall and we need to put a bullet in them.

The beauty of winning game 1. Schloss has options.

Outscore them tomorrow without using Lamkin or Ashenbeck.

I like your thinking, continue our hot hitting and score at least 1 more run than them. BTHO volunteers.

Drew Beam will go today. We watched him pitch against NC. He's pretty damn good, but NC is no A&M so we'll see.

I think Beam was the starter when the Vols lost to the purple aces in the SR.

Sounds like a plan. Asch might pitch one inning if we have a lead in the 9th.

Throwing a guy on short rest is the Hero move but if he doesn't have his best stuff the Vols it will be a short outing

Tanner Jones.

All the bullpen sessions w Max W's tutelage gets him back on track, a la Lamkin.

TJ shoves and gets us into the 6th.

The bats do enough to have us leading late.

Close with Cortez.

Rumor is Ryan Targac has been working on becoming a pitcher and will make his debut as a starter today while still coaching first base. There is no tape on him so I bet he tosses a gem and becomes the biggest Aggie baseball legend ever.

I like Wilson. Tenn was Jeckyl and Hyde last night. They hit the ball well, but struck out 17 times. You'd better attack them with stuff, not just strikes.

You could start Jones, and if he's on, let him go. First sign of trouble, go to Wilson. If we look good in the 6th, bring the nuke.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

Teams that hit a lot of HRs strikeout
The Ags pitching staff has been very good against the beat competition
