I will be headed to Omaha with my 5 yr old in tow. Staying in or near downtown. Would deeply appreciate any suggestions or recs on kid activities both within the official CWS zones and surrounding areas? Thank you so much!

There's a pretty large kids section around the stadium. But he may come away with maroon hair.

5 might be on the young side for some of the stuff, but stumbled on this park during the rain delay saturday and it was great.

Walking distance to stadium and around a lot of hotels so you may be by it anyways.

Also the ferris wheel that you probably keep seeing on tv is 100% free. It's part of the fan fest just outside the stadium.

Nice park over near Harney and 10th.

Watch the Aggie players leave the Hilton on game days or as they get off the buses at the stadium. They high five the kids. On practice days we got lucky and got pics and autographs with our kiddo and the players.

Omaha zoo is well regarded.

Away from the stadium the Omaha Zoo is one of the top zoos in the nation

We just got back from taking our 12ubbaseball team for the slumpbusters tournament. Some of the moms took the little brothers and sisters to the zoo and said it was fantastic.

Just got back from Omaha with my boys. The Omaha zoo is good but it is large.

The Fat Putter. Is an indoor putt putt golf course that is fun.

Riverfront park is also good. Slides, things the kids can climb on and a miniature zip line.

And obviously baseball.

We have been here since Saturday. I have a 9 year old and an 8 year old. In addition to the options above, I would highly recommend the Omaha children's museum (a 5 year old will love it), Gene Leahy park (great playground), and Hollywood Candy shop. We're staying at Hyatt Place in the old market district and there are lots of things to do in this area as well.

Zoo / Aquarium is incredible (go early AM)

The Durham Museum is better than I expected. It would be fun for kids who like trains. (Not crowded at all) Lots of cool vintage train cars that you can walk thru.

Hollywood candy / pinball museum is worth a visit in in the Old Market area. It is huge.

Zoo. It's the #1 zoo in the US and one of the top in the world.

If you go to the zoo go by Rosenblatt Stadium. IT SHRUNK!!!

Go to the Imaginarium. Really cool and fun for kids and even adults.
