If AGGIES fans are wanting to come up for the weekend championship what would be some good hotels withing walking distance to the stadium?

Game one is Sat 6pm, Game 2 is Sun 1 pm and I assume Game 3 if needed is Monday at 6pm. Hard to plan for nights needed; You could get away with just a Saturday night hotel or you would need as much 3 nights....I guess.

Come to Hyatt Place. 1 mile from stadium, UVA is already gone so lots of room available

We won't need Monday Night.

Cambria was nice. Hilton is the tits. Also do a big send off 2 1/2 hours before game time with a lobby packed by Aggies. The team is having a good time here, as are the fans.

I was disappointed with the DT. Best description I can give is it is tired. We moved today.

I would say that is accurate. However, if you have a car, the garage is very convenient, and you can either walk to the park or take their shuttle.

If you are flying and won't have a vehicle, I might look elsewhere.

Thank you both for the insight.

We fly in Friday so needed the short cancellation window since we booked several weeks ago. Will start watching for price drops as the week progresses.

What's the odds of a guy flying solo being able to slip in on all of this last minute this weekend?

I've got $400 in airfare I've got to use up.

Will I be able to get a ticket to the game and hotel last minute?

Hilton Garden Inn is a better location than Hyatt place but 380 a night.

Good odds is my guess - I am certain many people (including myself) are watching to see who makes the championship bracket.

I've only seen Southwest w/fares in the $400 range. I think we'll drive.

Yeah… And am wanting walking distance to the stadium from hotel-don't want a car rental and would only go if we make the final rolling it all solo.

Just keep in mind there can be a dramatic difference in pricing for hotels close to the stadium versus across the river at the casinos.

We stayed at the Magnolia last Saturday night for Game 1. It was nice.

I just checked out of the DoubleTree this morning after 4 nights. Not a good experience. All but 2 of the elevators were not working most of the weekend. It was a very long wait for the elevator and then it would stop on each floor since everyone else was also waiting. Not to mention there were a zillion little leaguers also staying at the DT and they would push everyone button on the elevator just because.

Also something happened with their laundry service and there were no clean towels one day. Lastly their Starbucks in the lobby closes about 8:30 am and many people were very upset that they couldn't get coffee. Other than they were the only hotel close to the stadium that I could book a month ago that was cancelable, I would never stay there again. Multiple other hotels are probably quite a bit cheaper now, so book there.

I believe NC was also staying at the Hilton with the A&M team so a lot of rooms are sure to open up there. From what I saw the Hilton and the Marriott (Tennessee hotel) were the best combination of nicest and closet to the stadium. And the Hilton has the best lobby bar.

It looks like there's 3 Hiltons in Omaha.
Out west on Chicago, downtown On Cass and Hilton Garden Inn downtown on Dodge.
Which one is the team staying at and if they're staying out west on Chicago is it really worth being that far away from the stadium to be in the team hotel?

The Aggie team is at the Hilton right by the ballpark.

I actually prefer the Hilton Garden Inn location as it an easy walk to the stadium and much closer to the Old Market restaurants and bars.

To me the four best hotels to stay at are the Downtown Hilton, Courtyard, Hilton Garden Inn, and downtown Marriott.

Concur. Elevators frequently take forever (probably b/c it's packed).

We'll be coming back this weekend (if we make it)...And will be staying somewhere else. Little kids coming with so looking for a place with an outdoor pool. Or we'll just stay at the Hilton where the team is. Seemed nice.

I searched this as well and found very limited (if any) outdoor pools. We stayed at Embassy Suites 2 yrs ago and with that youth tourney going on the indoor pool was a zoo. No thanks.

I just got in town and staying Hilton Garden Inn. Walking distance to park. Typical Garden Inn hotel.

If you have a car West Omaha's not that bad. It's newer and nicer with plenty of restaurants that aren't packed. The prices are a little more reasonable and the drive isn't that bad.

I've got my flight booked and tickets purchased…

I'd like to save money on a hotel. If I stay in one further out is Uber pretty active in Omaha?

How far is the ride from there? Looked at hotels over there, a bit less than Omaha.

Gotta find tickets as well, gambling I can find deals late.

Seat Geek.

Your last name isn't Banker is it?

I've got the one to game 2. It was through SeatGelk but owned by Ticketmaster.

The one to game 1 is kinda sketch. Says it's coming from a third party site and they'll send me an email. Haven't gotten a email yet.
