My math before someone asks. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

We have been home once and visitors once.

FL has been visitor twice, so will be home tomorrow. If we play them, we will have been home an equal number of times, but FL was visitor twice, so they will be home.

KY has been home twice, will be visitor tomorrow. If we play them, we will have been home fewer times and we will be the home team.

Results are right but I don't think the logic is - in this case, we've played both teams before so the dugout just switches.

Perhaps you haven't read the rules that dictate who is the home team then.

Let's say we play the Gators. Beat them.

We would be 8-0. With 5 of those games batting first even though we were the higher seed in all but one game.

And then of course we would be batting first in our next game as well if we were to play the Vols.

NM, I figured it out.

Even the NCAA page doesn't know the rules

Its a drawn out way of the team coming from the loser's bracket getting the advantage of being "home" for this game but having the disadvantage of having played an extra game. Then the team coming from the winner's bracket gets "home" for the decisive "if necessary" game.

To put another way. The UT and A&M are playing a 3 game series with FSU and UF. UT and A&M are home/away/home in that series and FSU/UF had to play an extra game.
