Just hoping he will be good to go next season if this was something more minor

As an Astros fan, couldn't agree more.

Couple thoughts.

Sorry to hear that for Shane. Happy for his prognosis.

When you challenge the universe the universe always accepts.

Aggie Baseball: We not only accept your challenge of adversity we say "Good." Bring it on.
Universe: Okay. Here's more adversity.

Kind of like when you finally make the decision to change some aspect of your life, and as soon as you do your desire towards self-improvement is immediately challenged.

Well,

Good.

Our boys will rise to both individual and team challenges yet again.

Quote:

If you can say the word "good," guess what? It means you're still alive. It means you're still [in the game]. And if you're still [in the game] . . . you still got some fight left in you. So get up, dust off, reload, recalibrate, re-engage, and go out on the attack.

ultimately you are correct. baseball is such a game of adversity. i mean u make millions at the big league level if you fail 7 out of 10 times. what i do know from watching this team for this season is this team steps up. when their back is against the wall they respond. i am mot sure how the CWS will play out for the Ags but what i am very confident in is that they will show up and play hard for each other and they will not quit u til the final out.

He was making a video for Braden this morning.

Sounds like it's not UCL, or at least doesn't require surgery? Either way, good news for Sdao, just means Ags will have some things to figure out in Omaha.

It could be inflamed and no actual damage. Who knows.

You serious Clark?

Yeah, Since changing his arm slot he's been shaky, but he's been able to lock in and give solid starts/innings before, just needs to get in and groove and trust his stuff.

I typically see it as Rudis surviving. He does not have good enough stuff to beat these better hitters. Only thing he has going for him is Omaha is not small. Going to need some of the talented young arms to step up. Maybe Kaiden Wilson, Weston Moss, or Isaac Morton. Also looking for possibly Zane or Eldridge who have been good lately to get another extended start. Of course all of this really boils down to more pressure on Prager.

Rudis also has experience pitching in Omaha. I think he'll come up big for us in a spot this weekend.

Such a f****d up Super. Only silver lining in the Sdao thing is it pulled off the idiotic criticisms of the coaching on BMonts injury. I know injuries happen but DAMN. sucks.

Cortez has been on fire lately. Would like to see if he could step into that starter role and dominate for 6-7 innings. As Schloss said, we need the Kent of the pitching staff to step up now.

Now you've done it. That kind of thinking is just not allowed because Schloss said.

Whether it's the loser's bracket or winner's bracket, if we play NC St in the Monday game, I wouldn't be surprised if Lamkin started. According to D1, their team OPS is 200 points lower vs LHP at .764.

Hate to see that he is out for the remainder of the MCWS, but sounds like it does not require surgery.

For the rest of team, "Next man up!"

Rudis has it in him. Just needs to find it and get on a roll. He could be a difference maker down the stretch eating up innings as others have said.

Isaac Morton hasn't pitched in awhile and Eldridge had one good showing.

Praeger, Cortez, Aschenbeck, Lamkin and Rudis without a doubt.

Then I think we lean on Moss, Wilson, Stewie for a batter or 2, Zane, Peevy for a batter or 2, and anybody else I'm forgetting that Schloss rolled out there against Oregon in the last game.

Praeger has pitched in Omaha and I don't see him feeling any added pressure. Also Praeger has the occasional bad start like all pitchers do. I don't think that means he's taken a step back. I expect him to lead the charge in Omaha along with Aschenbeck.

I wish they wouldn't have changed Rudy's arm slot. He was a hard strike throwing machine in previous years.

I'll add, I am not a baseball coach so I won't have to edit later.

Why is everyone on this thread acting like Rudis has been bad this season? He's 6-0 with a 2.29 ERA and has been reliable all year.

My reply wasn't to knock Brad's season at all. Just how I feel whenever he gets shaky, versus just pumping fastballs in the past. Sorry for the hi-jack as well.

Heard from someone close to the team it is a partial tear and will not require surgery. Also possibly some damage to a muscle in the forearm. He should be ready to rock next season but will suck not to have him in Omaha.

He's been more effective since they changed his slot. This is the best year of his Aggie career.

Why is there no talk of Tanner Jones? Did I miss something?

Skimming through this thread, I see every other name mentioned but not his.
