What's considered a good price for the lower level?

My advice is wait. It's a large stadium , you aren't going to have more than a couple thousand fans from each school. The average baseball fan isn't dying to see us or Florida play so the people with all session tickets ( Omaha residents ) will sell individual games to pay for their all session tickets. The more patience you show the less that you will pay. If we were playing Creighton or Nebraska it would be a different story. I'm going , have my hotel but I'm not buying seats yet. I've learned the hard ( expensive ) way

This. 2022 was my first trip ever. Bought tickets to the OU game the day after the brackets were announced. Paid WAY too much for tickets. Bought tickets for the t.u. game like an hour before first pitch and got a much better deal.

I agree to wait. Also ,the adopted school LSU isn't there. It's cool also be there is no cross school selling.

100% this. I also learned the hard way ($) in 2017.

So buy them from a scalper at the stadium or stub hub on the day of?

For those that have gone before and purchased tickets

What is a "good"/fair ticket price for lower level in the shade tickets?

25, 50, 100, 200?

Yes. It's my plan unless I get offered a deal from a different source. I just don't see the demand with a hefty supply and as we have seen from our regional/ super regional it's a supply/ demand dynamic

In 17 and 22 I was able to get 4 and 5 together in the shade for just over $100 a ticket a couple hours before game times. I got a single for a game my family stayed at the hotel to rest for like $50 maybe 10 rows behind first base dugout as I walked to the stadium. The shade is a big benefit but the weather looks like it will only be mid upper 80s instead of approaching 100 like it was in 22

Did you get them on ticket master or in person at the stadium?

17 was only on flash seats I think thru their app but I could be misremembering. Did stub hub in 22. Never messed with walking up to the booth or paper ticket scalpers

I just looked on stub hub and the prices are about 100 more (2-400 a piece) per for the 100 sections that will have shade. The 6 game will help a bit since that first base side faces east. Won't have the sun in your face or really overhead.

Anyone else have comments on how they bought tix day of game? We will be driving from Minnesota for Sat game only and plan to buy tix there right before game per advice here. My wife is freaking out not having tickets before we go but I told her "trust Texags, they know things". I can't screw this up….

Bought 3 tix 2 hrs before 1st pitch vs. sip in '22 for waaaay cheaper than what prices are online right now!

Seats were lower level, shaded, and between homeplate and 1st dugout.

Don't worry…… you will get tickets.

So, wait until close to game time…then StubHub, etc?

Appreciate all the advice.

I know how you feel Stinky about having tickets in hand but I am confident that you will be able to get a reasonable price if you wait and you won't be stuck in the outfield. It's like those regional or conference basketball tournaments- not every one is going to go to every game. Two games in a day is a lot of baseball, how about 4 in two days ? Think Ms Omaha Stinky is going to be dragged to our game Saturday night after 2 on Friday and one Saturday morning ?

What is reasonable to expect in terms of price drops the day of the game? Looks like for the Saturday game on seat geek tickets in the shade (we will have a little one with us) are around $300. We live a couple hours away, and were thinking of driving up, but we'd like to have a better idea of how inflated the early ticket prices are before booking a hotel.

I've never paid North of $100. Usually more like $60-80. Less once a few teams are eliminated.

But I also have never sought out shade seats because I'm a man.

...or stupid.

Or a stupid man.

But seriously, I didn't care about shade so that probably affects price some, but I have no idea how much .

Which direction does the sun set at the stadium , which side will be looking into the sunset?

It may be more tolerable to have the evening game vs the 1:00 game

Maybe the shaded seats aren't as important?

I think it still sets in the west

Left field bleachers will face west. 3rd base side looks south so the 1:00 games are almost all in the sun. About row 20-25 for the first base side will be shaded for sections up to 104

Paid $375 per ticket in '22. Lower level, half way between dug out and back row.

So sections 112-122 should be mostly shaded for the 600 game, right?

Are both games each day sold as one 'session' or is each game a standalone ticket?

Spot on advice. For me, I like to sit on the 3rd base side because you have a nice view of the scoreboard. I got sick of craning my neck from the 1st base side.

I bought tickets in 22 within minutes of clinching Omaha and overpaid (even though we were the 1st team in). Bought Sunday tickets for ~$60. Both games had tons of empty seats (like half). Makes me think I could have done better. I'm waiting this year.

Been 5 times before, twice without the Ags there.

Afternoon games drop a lot close to the game. Always wait on those.

Friday night game drops too but not quite as much.

Saturday night is the primetime game. There may be a slight decline leading up to game time but it won't be drastic.

Yeah, trying to think back, I've been to a lot of matinee games and mid-weeks. Not sure I've every been to a Saturday night game. That does give me a little pause on ticket prices.

Thanks everyone for all the insight. This thread has been super helpful. I am going to the CWS for the first time this year. For our first game on Saturday, I am guessing the 3rd baseline would be in the sun. Is there a particular row number that would be in the shade on that side? Taking my kids so want to be in a good part of the park where they can enjoy the game.

Starting to question all of the sage wisdom only because the Saturday night game sounds like a different animal. I'll be buying 4 tix so will be looking for the best deal but also want to be sure we're not stuck like chuck. Might consider pulling the trigger early but prices are soaring on ticketmaster.

I would still be ok waiting til Friday or Saturday to make the purchase unless you find a great deal before. I just wouldn't expect to get under $100 but it's possible.

Cool thanks. TM currently showing outfield seats look to be around $150 $180 ish. Inside foul pole $180 - $220 ish.

The night of and the day after the field is set is when everyone will be buying. We are in that timeframe now where sellers make their money.

You will be able to get 4 together for a lower price if you wait, especially if you are not too picky where you sit.
