Geez, Kentucky. Act like you've been there!

Kentucky scored the go ahead run on a dropped 3rd strike with the runner scoring from 2nd base.
Just following the lead of the coach. Like Tony V I'll give him credit where credit is due but will also call a spade a spade.dixichkn said:But his team sure has a lot of D bag tendenciesPhatMack19 said:

I believe this is accurate. But for the first time since 1948, and the first time EVER since the tournament became a 4+ team field, the CWS will have just two conferences represented. ACC & SEC.

In 1947-48, it was just a two-team tournament.
so the trend continues. The winner of game 1 once again won the SR.W said:
all right, super regional weekend is here...
and A&M will be playing in its 10th SR since the NCAA went to the new format in 1999
the #1 trend from the previous nine SR's...the game 1 winner advanced 9 of 9 times -- game 1 is the critical game
-----
the Ags have won 4 of the 9 SR's
1999 vs. Clemson
2011 at Florida State
2017 vs. Davidson
2022 vs. Louisville
the Ags have won 3 of the 4 SR's played at Olsen/Blue Bell. Winning the 3 listed above but falling short in 2016.
interesting to note...A&M has never played a west coast team in an SR. Oregon will be the first

another cool note...
for the first time since 1964, A&M will be in Omaha without any other teams from Texas
not sharing the spotlight with the Owls, Frogs, or sips in 2024

A couple of weeks ago if we had known that we would get no. 3 seeds in the SR and then in the first game at Omaha we would have been pretty happy. But now Florida doesn't exactly seem like a gift does it?

Why do we have to wait all day for baseball?

Especially with the injury to Sdao, you pretty much think we have to go with Prager in game 1. Dont get me wrong, Prager has been really GREAT all season. But he had one of his worst starts of the year last week. The other arguably worst start of the year was against Florida.
Given that Prager doesnt have the best true "stuff" on the staff, I worry that he isnt an ideal matchup against a Florida line up that makes a lot of contact.
I dont think we really have an option but to pitch him. But its definitely a scary match up in game 1

Won't happen, but CC is the perfect option to start against them stuff wise.

On 3/15/24 CC went 4 innings giving up 2 earned runs and got the loss after Prager didn't make it out of the third giving up 6 ER.fightintxag13 said:
I believe it was game 1 of the series with Florida that CC had his first dominant outing of this year. Might've been game 2, but either way, he shut them down and kept our bats in it. The bats just never delivered the knockout blow.
I'm not saying you're wrong, just posting the box score.fightintxag13 said:
You are right. He was shaky when he came in for Prager in the 3rd, but he was dominant the next 2+ innings until he gave up the homer to Kurland in the 6th. His first 7 outs were all K's in that game.

I really don't know anything about him, but his mannerisms 100% remind me of Larry from Bull Durham. The little bounce and quickness in his step; the way he tirelessly chews gum. I laugh every time.PhatMack19 said:
