yes, that's why I said its like something falling out of the cabinet, my hands do what they are technically supposed to do, except I am clumsy and bobble it and catch it in my elbows.

but the difference is that I end up with a broken wine glass on the floor...not a game saving catch

Given the weight of the situation the only plays I can think of that come close to that are the diving Jim Edmonds catch and Dewayne Wise robbing a HR to save Mark Buehrle's perfect game.

That's the old Polo Grounds and he had to be close to 430' away from home plate. Dead center was 483' and right center was about 450' as I recall.

I think he does go to the hat every pitch. He licks his fingertips (2) and wipes then on the hat brim, making the dark spot.

NCAA tournament rules on "home field advantage" for regional/super regional hosts..

"Hey guys, great season, you earned the right to host! Now, you don't get to be the home team every time you play and you can't do a lot of the things you usually get to do in your own stadium. Buuuut, we'll let you get to be in YOUR dugout and maybe play a song snippet before you bat."
