So it wasn't because he touched the umpire.
Then Florida had at least two players that should have been ejected for the same thing

So is leaving the bench… as MSU learned the hard way. Both would be technicalities. No reasonable person watching that interaction would come to the conclusion there should have been an ejection.

Clemson unis aren't easy on the eyes. And the Florida unis are just as bad.

Wasn't one of the women's final four games this year finished with like 5 people on each team because all bench players got ejected for coming on the court? They aren't afraid to throw entire teams out on technicalities.

He was the only player that instigated contact with an ump. That's why he's gone.

Announcers said they heard from the NCAA that was not why, he was ejected for leaving his position on the field to the area where the conflict had occurred. Florida 3rd baseman and SS did the same exact thing

Official ruling statement was that he was ejected for leaving his position. No mention of contact to umpire. Florida SS and 3B should have been ejected for the same reason.

That crew should be ejected for the rest of the year. How egregiously bad of a call is that?

Was not the crew's call. I actually thought the crew handled the situation really well. Someone sitting in a "control room" made the ejection call.

Just one extra. 4 games if he's a starting pitcher.

3rd and SS ran over there. Should be the same situation then.

Bingo. Damn Florida. Had no business making the postseason, yet here they are on the cusp of CWS.

Full disclaimer that I'm not watching, dad duty before I head to college station.
Is it possible they said they ejected him for leaving his position rather than touching the umpire due to severity of the suspension? Isn't physical altercation with ump auto 4 game?
