Not looking great in fact, the rain percentage has risen and forecast has gotten worse. Hopefully this will all blow through faster or slower than they think.

Temperatures are pretty decent though.

It's up to 40 from 30 but it's still scattered. I think our game will be fine.

Evening is now widespread scattered. Game 2 might get delayed.

Depends on which forecast you're looking at. KBTX app is still showing 40% but Weather channel and weather bug apps are showing 65% - 70% and rain all afternoon on radar. We'll just have to see what happens over the next two days.

Hopefully our local weather guy will chime in and give us the real lowdown, we will hope for the best.

Lightning is a huge unknown factor. Rain can be overcome to an extent. Lingering lightning can be a serious obstacle.

I find the KBTX app to be much more accurate for local weather. It's all I use these days.

I usually go between them because it seems to be a mix, but I know we get pushed off to the north lot down here.

these storms are just popping up seemingly out of nowhere with some hellacious winds. The forecasts haven't been super accurate in either direction recently.

Yall keep saying the weather messing up the sips vs Cajuns is good but if it gets postponed into the next day it'll throw everybody off. Which means we could also be stuck playing a double header on a Sunday or Monday

Unpredictability and weather delays are definitely a way that upsets happen in a regional. We need less chaos

I'd be fine with that. My worry is games getting pushed to the next day and the chaos that would ensue. Thats what the favorite and host doesn't need.

Here is the latest NAMST model for ~12p Friday. Right now showing line of storms moving S from DFW and clearing BCS by 5 or 6p. Models will obviously change closer we get

Despite the gains in technology, weather forecasts are no better than they were 40 years ago. Especially 48-72 hours out.

The latest model runs, at least the high resolution models, are pushing that MCS through earlier in the day, with little redevelopment behind it. Granted that is over 48 hours out and mesoscale driven convection, so much can change in the interim. However, there is hope for a 1 PM start time. Btw, 18Z is 1 PM.

Perfect scenario for us would be finishing our game with no issues then off and on weather delays in game two that burns up arms and lasts late into the night. Hell, maybe it will even go extras. Bring on the rain around 5!

All week in BCS, there has been rain forecast and then on the day off, it's sunny and no chance of rain. We were supposed to get 2 inches of rain on Tuesday and got .04". And then today were supposed to get .75" and are going to get nothing.

I wouldn't be surprised if the regional is sunny all weekend lol

Our local guy has that going through Friday morning and clearing out by 8am.
