Water or something else? Also read you can bring seatbacks in but must be no wider than 16in, doubt they sit there with a tape measure at gate, or do they???

Absolutely no. They won't even let people bring in water bottles for kids anymore.

I wouldn't take that as gospel. Was stopped the other day for bringing something in that is explicitly allowed by this list.
