TV will play a big part, especially between the afternoon and night game. But some super regionals will not start until Saturday, and some that start Friday won't finish until Monday; or later if weather interferes. They sometimes take that into account in deciding which bracket goes Friday and which Saturday.

I'll be shocked if LSU and OU met in regional. TV needs both for as long as possible. And both are playing well. Expect both to have "easier paths" to supers and possible ws.

They are correct when they say that. 1999 was the first year of the super regional format. Before that it was eight, six team regionals played in a double elimination format. The winner of each of the eight regionals advanced to Omaha.

The #1 seed in 1999 was Miami and they won the CWS. Since then 23 #1 overall seeds have failed to capture the title.
