If you think the price is too high for something, don't pay it

This isn't cancer treatment. It's a baseball game

Very discretionary

My tickets in AC3 for football are now well over $20,000. There is no face value on the tickets. If i list them for cost in the ticket exchange i get roasted. Be real here. If i can't make a big game I'm putting them on stub hub or seat geek. If it's a lesser game I'll sell them on here.

Those who complain about ticket prices to the biggest events of the year in Aggie baseball dont understand basic economics of supply and demand and that while some people want a SIGNIFICANT discount because they attended TAMU.

I dont get it.

Even the OP said he will remember this and in the future will charge more.

I have look quite a bit over the last two days and depending on the location of the seats you could have gottern tickets from anywhere from free to $200+ here on the ticket exchange. He choose the $200 seats it seems.

Did you go Thursday during the rain? Tickets were cheap after the rainstorm. I went and was able to sit in seats that were pretty nice after the third inning was over.

People put out tickets for cheap yesterday as well when they couldnt make it last minute.

There are people that expect fine dining experience for McDonald's prices and want to use an I am Aggie coupon on top of the fast food prices.

Here is an idea. Next season when the schedule comes out buy the seats you want as early as possible and plan to come in town. Dont wait til last minute to see if it is going to be a good series. If you are a fan of Aggie baseball any game should matter and if you decide to come to a game on a Tuesday pay the full price of the ticket plus seat slection fee portion and dont expect a discount like the market gives you

This isnt just an OP thing. This is an entitlement thing. One thing I have learned we are not entitiled to anything and if you happen to think you are then you should be in great shape to pay market price.

I know dont need Stars game 7 seats...sweet double OT win

Now I need Game 1 at less than face ....not one Ag has offered to help me yet

I was not in town Thursday. I just wanted to vent about the high prices yesterday. I sat by the guy who sold them and offered to buy today's tickets off the secondary market so that he received all of the proceeds instead of Seat Geek ( they weren't available ).

I think that the price ( $200 with fees ) was a little excessive . It's my opinion and I posted it. You don't have to agree. IMHO higher scalped prices lead to more opposing fans sitting next to you. The fact that I have an Ag tag didn't guarantee that I wouldn't resell them or be an A&M fan. I just wish we had responded to the 3 run bomb they hit

In response to this comment

" I am sorry people come out of the woodwork for the biggest series of the year and want tickets at the last minute. Any of you could have bought tickets at the beginning of the season for face value without a seat price and or donation attached"

I have season tickets in football and basketball and live 2 states away so I didn't just come out of the woodwork buddy. I happen to be a fan of all Aggie sports and post regularly on baseball game threads and just wanted to go to the game since I'm in town visiting my mother. I don't mind paying a premium but I do feel like I'm getting hosed a little and wanted to vent. So here I am venting

So you are entitled to a discount because you don't live in the area?

So looking at all the tickets on the ticket exchange for Thursday Friday and today he choose to purchase the most expensive option of all.
And then complains about prices.
There is an Aggie joke in there somewhere.

You could have gotten seats for $25 for yesterday. At least six different selections available. You choose to pay $175 more per ticket and then proceed to complain.

The just don't get it. And the o say you have season tickets in football and basketball as a reason to get them cheaper is interesting. If you live 500 miles away you shouldn't be getting basketball season tickets and if you do baseball season tickets should be a drop in the bucket then you can give away or charge face value when you can't drive here.

Good luck Ags. Take the series.

Well…. From first hand experience, when you try to do the right thing and give and i mean for free give, your tickets away to some Ag on Texags, that Ag then turns around and list them for profit. So why would a good hearted Ag want to expose himself that way again? It will not happen again, I promise.

Exactly why i tend to give away to trusted friends who will not resell. Especially for big high after market games.

Fortunately this season has been fairly easy to A) sell at reasonable price and B) friends and family demand was there.

I do my best to ensure my tickets are utilized.
