You're right. But all 300 D1 teams of college baseball players do inexcusable things at times over the course of a 50-game season.
Not inexcusable! That is not a word for serious discussion in any game involving real people playing a game. They were errors, mistakes, or whatever other words apply. They were not inexcusable.
