This may be where we disagree most. I can't stand Schoch. He tries too hard and just isn't interesting.

A few years ago, my son's travel team at the time played in Omaha and got to interact a bit with the Virginia players during the CWS. Schoch was super engaging and so kind to the kids…Signed autographs, joked about dip-n-dots, etc. In the Tennessee pregame, he chatted with my son for a good 5 min and played catch with him from the outfield stands. Nice dude.

I'm not surprised he's doing good.

I mean it was on his hat.

Imagine a horseshoe where the two ends aaaalmost touch. One end of that is "tries too hard" the other end is "doesn't try at all."

It's two completely different ends that result in almost the same thing. So I can see both points.

That said, I like Schoch in small doses.
