I think at the junior level you get what you get. Who are the most coordinated female athletes? Probably gymnast but they are small and probably don't have the power for softball. Basketball is probably second most coordinated and the good basketball players aren't switching to softball. Soccer players could be considered second but softball is too slow for those girls' interest when they are young. Wow. The amount of errors that take place in women's softball makes you wonder if they're recruiting the right type of athletes for the sport. Coordination is often lacking outside of the pitchers
