Sorry if this has already been asked. I think you used to be allowed to have 25 players on the roster. I counted the other day and we have 45. Are you allowed to have more players now with NIL etc in the mix?

There will be a 40-man limit on roster size for Division I programs during the 2024 baseball season.

The 40 man size roster in D1 baseball works sorta like the 40 man roster in MLB but with far more flexibility. I think all 40 can be available for midweek games and possibly for most other non-conference series although I doubt most teams travel with all 40 players. For SEC series only 27 players will be allowed to participate but I think home team is allowed more players in uniform in the dugout. The roster of the 27 players must be declared before the first game of the series, in other words, the players eligible can not change from game to game within a series. Not sure of the roster limit for NCAA tournament but I pretty sure their is a roster limit but likely allowed to modify if a team advances, in other words the roster named for regionals is not necessarily the roster a team must keep it they advance to the Supers or on to the CWS.
