Johnson going to throw Skenes tomorrow on short rest. I'd put money on it. Probably tell him want you to go 75-80 pitches.
That said my personal opinion is this is the type of coaching puts pitchers health in jeopardy. So we will find out here shortly what Johnson does.

So crazy that Skenes wouldn't start tomorrow. Every team had a 4 man rotation and 3 days rest until not too long ago. In college ball, pitchers routinely started on 2 days' rest in regionals. Granger did it in both '92 in Gainesville and '93 in College Station.

They won't. A natty is a natty. However, any delusions they had about being one of the all time great teams just went out the window. An all timer doesn't get their ass handed to them 24-3 in Omaha.
