I'd guess we'd see a lot from Bruno, Scott, and Meier from them tomorrow. Those are the guys with the most appearances that haven't thrown too much. Pancer, Dowd, and Dugan would normally be their big guys, but I'm guessing they're used up. Dowd could maybe throw a bit. I wouldn't be surprised to see Quinn either.

Obviously based on what they did with the freshman dugan kid today, no one is really off limits for them tomorrow.

Pitching is important but hitting and defense is also needed. Our entire game was off.

Has it occurred to you folks that the quality of the plate umpire plays way too much importance in the outcome of the game compared to other aspects?

A coach needs to put more effort into scouting the umpires than scouting the other team. The strike zone of some of these guys is so subjective and situational, an observer has no clue what an individual call might be. Their work on the bases appears pretty good to me, but subjectivity rears it's ugly head when they get behind the plate.

Probably would be better off spending your energy coaching your team to make adjustments to what blue is calling. Blue last night was consistently calling the outside ball against us.

It's a small miracle we're playing to win the regional. I'm hoping the strike zone helps Dettmer today.

It plays into it a lot esp if one pitcher is consistently getting calls that another is not.

Deep is relative
if Dett go for 4 innings and give up 2 or fewer runs that would be a nice change

Please no Johnston! After Eddie Park first AB in game 1, he motioned to the the guy on deck that it's straight. 90+ and straight might work in HS, but on this level is a recipe for disaster as we have seen with him.

The announcers yesterday, who seemed clueless about college baseball generally and Texas A&M specifically, kept saying that in regionals you need a guy to step up to get you over the top. Now, they said this about a Stanford player. But it's true. Dettmer can be that guy for us today. Fingers crossed. He's been there before.
