Hey gang, long time since I showed my face round these parts. I admittedly don't know much about baseball, so I have a dumb question. What exactly determines what team are assigned to a regional? Is it unusual that all three of our opponents are from California? If not - if there is financial reason to favor local teams - then why are WE there?

What approach do y'all recommend? That our 4 hitter should take a weak swing at a ball 6 inches off the plate with one strike? You can't do that. If it was legitimately on the corner then I get your point, but there is nothing you can do except foul them off with two strikes and hope you get something you can actually take a hack at.

Good teams show you how to take advantage of base runners when your offense looks ridiculous trying to do the same. Leaving the bases loaded in the first (once again) is proving to bite us in the arse late in the game.

Reminder to those who only watch during the postseason, We've trailed in pretty much every postseason game under Schloss and we are 9-2 in those games.
We trailed every single regional and super regional game last year, sometimes even pretty late in the game.

They want to be able to bus to regionals to save money, but there are so many SEC hosts that took out 8 of options.
It was Stanford or Miami.
Never count this team out. Schloss-coached teams are fighters to the end
