I remember thinking--like many of you, I'd imagine--that it would take Schloss a little time but once he'd had a chance to build his team, blah blah blah, we'd have some fun seasons down the road.

Dude comes in and goes straight to Omaha, where he actually wins some games (hadn't been done since I was a student living in a little rat trap house on Poplar behind the Sonic near University and Texas Ave, seems like another lifetime), and just to put a cherry on top of his inaugural seasons, we spank tu and send them home from the CWS.

This season starts out looking pretty rough and had me convinced by mid-season that it's just a rebuilding year, so enjoy the good parts and look ahead to the future.

Now here I am hoping the chips fall in such a way that we get a Super at Olsen Field and a return trip to Omaha in year 2 for Darth Schloss. (And I mean that in a positive way. We got torn up by some injuries but here we are in the post season, choking guys out.)

However it all shakes out, I'm having a helluva lot of fun.

Sorry I upset everyone with my comment. You have to admit that we have a tendency to screw things up at the end. Typically football more so than baseball, but it is something that has plagued our teams for years.

I knew the outfield was terrible, but did not expect it to make such a big deal in every game. I believe at least one ball was lost in the lights for every game during the regional and several in the supers

You could argue every team that doesn't win it all has a tendency to screw things up at the end.
