Not all games are elimination games. They lost the first in the super making the next two elimination games.

It's true. Stanford won 5 straight elimination games last season. 3 in regionals. 2 in Supers. But there was 1 game in between those games that was not an elimination game.

If they lost the first game of the super, then it would be 5 consecutive elimination games over a six game sequence. One was just not an elimination game.
