Well it has all become obvious that Draytonomics is still in effect even though he tried to trick us all. He ditched $20 million in contracts and $5 million in buyouts by trading Wagner and Hidalgo, while fooling the fans by spending $8 million on the Weathers deal, $5 million on Clemens, and only $5.5 million this year on Pettitte. He is saving $6.5 million this year on the moves that he has made this year. Also attendence is up drastically and he also has the All-Star game coming to town this year. All in all it seems like Drayton is making a major profit this year eventhough he'll claim that he is not.

I believe that this is his last money making run and has every intention of selling the team after this year.

I would assume that the freed up Hidalgo money (since it happened today and not in teh off season) will be used to pick up another player a little closer to the trade deadline

and I think that Landry's will own the Astros before the 2010 season....

Hidalgo got traded because he had a fat salary, wasnt producing, and it's Jason Lane's time to get a chance. Good trade by the Astros.

Now if we can only get a new manager.....
