Now that the Ags appear to be safely in who do we think are the last two national seeds; last 4 hosting sites and it first 4 not to get a hosting site? I'll hang up and listen.

the top 8 locks are:

Wake Forest, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Clemson, and Stanford

then for #7 and #8...I'd go with Vanderbilt and Virginia

the 9 thru 16 hosts (in no particular order):

Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Miami, and Coastal Carolina

leaving #15 and #16 among South Carolina, Indiana State, Dallas Baptist, and Oklahoma State

-- Carolina has great metrics but they have slumped badly in the last month. Will the committee give the SEC 8 hosts?

-- OKState could make the committee's job very easy if they could win 1 or 2 more games in Arlington

I agree with most above. With the exception that Auburn is a lock to host RPI outside top 16 and so many SEC schools already hosting. Think that they are in that group in discussion.

I'm on the fence about Auburn and Scar hosting. I think only one of those two hosts and DBU over OSU. If indiana gets it and we just happened to go there, I would have a mysterious illness on my last day of work.

Also Southern Miss and West Virginia could be in that bubble host group and would not be shocked if one of those two is a host site.

To summarize
SEC
6-8 hosts
3-4 national seeds
USCe & Auburn on the host bubble

ACC
4 hosts
2 national seeds

Stanford and the Ciastsl Carolna taking 2 host spots

Depending on if the SEC is limited to 6 hosts the bubble is between 2-4 spots

Auburn and SC seeme to have similar metrics...South Carolina hasnt played as well down the stretch but if decising between those two for a host spot i personally favor SC but not sure committee will

They tend to put the sec national seeds in the same bracket in CWS unless the records force them out of that. And then route the other SEC teams up through those supers if they can.

I think Oklahoma St and Indiana State will be the last two hosts

Dallas Baptist is surely NOT hosting.
They have a 2-5 record against power-5 schools.

If USCe and Auburn are denied host spots in an effort to spread it around the remaining candidates have some holes on their resumes ( USCe & Auburn also have blemishes which might head them to getting passed over )

I think the Ags may go to the Okie St regional as the #2 seed.

I did a little research and Stillwater is beyond the bus travel range.
Unless DBU gets a host spot Ags are getting on a plane
I am thinking we end up in the Carolinas likely 3 non SEC hosts and given how many hosts are in that region teams will need to be flown in

I see that Auburn has slipped to #20 in RPI

would not be a lock from that spot

maybe South Carolina will grab the SEC's 7th host

Is there a consensus on
Okie Lite, InState,DBU and Auburn on who gets the last couple of host sites ?

Oklahoma State should be a lock at this point

RPI #15 and SoS #29

top 50 record: 16-12

share of Big 12 regular season title

Don't they announce the 16 host sites tonight? That should give us a better idea of where we might be heading.

Yes, around 7, I think

seems like it's down to #9 Indiana State or an 8th host from the SEC (Auburn or South Carolina)

maybe Southern Miss at RPI #21 has moved into the picture

last year the committee gave a mid-major...Georgia Southern...the 16th host

we'll know in a few hours

Jeez. It's a simple 6-6.5 drive.

I would drive that everytime for work and never consider getting in a plane.

Your preference has little impact on ncaa definitions.
