So this issue has cropped up again while I try to watch the game on ESPN App on my tv. Works on the phone but obviously that is t as good. Wasn't there a fix for this? There was a thread about this back when the season started. I've logged out and in multiple times and can't seem to make it work. The error is "media not allowed". Any help would be appreciated

Edit: figured it out. Not only log out of the ESPN App but also your cable provider then log back into the provider and the app. Stupid goofy thing but I'm on.

If that ever happens on mine, I just hit back & click it again & it works

Same. It usually happens for me when espn is the last thing I watched on the firestick and marriot hasn't kicked me off their internet for the day.

Happens about 50% of the time for me when going through cable box (Xfinity). It's a known ESPN issue for over a year but they still haven't fixed it.

I hope it's fixed tonight. I've never had this much trouble. None of the tricks have worked. Every other damn game works though!!

I'm a likely your cable provider not authenticating you correctly and transmitting your licenses to the app. Or could be a caching problem but my nose tells me it's authentication. Spectrum's authentication service is a steaming pile of inconsistency from the other end of the elephant, for instance…

I get that a lot on the TV app, but I just pull it up on my phone and stream it to TV and it seems to work.

Stupid it works that way. Maybe try unplugging your TV from the wall and then plugging it back in? That should reset the entire TV and hopefully shake out the bugs of what's going on with the in-TV app.

Multiple fire sticks, laptops, android phones and iPhones. Every damn time. Have to logout and log back in

My ESPN app won't work at all anymore. When I click on the video, nothing happens. Doesn't matter if I'm on cell or wifi. I've done the gamut of re-download, re-sign in, etc. I've just given up.

I've had very little trouble but when I do I remember when the game thread was the only way to follow along.
