If batters would simply wait until an umpire calls ball 4, that wouldn't happen.

It's not that hard.

But I think hitters believe they can in influence an umpire's call by taking off like it's a walk. But if anything it has the opposite effect. Umps hate it.

Why hitters can't learn this lesson is beyond me.
