I have read numerous posts in your forums and appreciate your disappointment. I attended both games and tailgated before and after each game. I can honestly say there was displayed sportmansship from both sides and comraderies galore. When I read about the bad experiences accounted in our visitors forums, I regret any disrespect or poor sportmanship we may have exhibited. LSU Baseball fans, THE VAST MAJORITY, are good people. We like to win of course, but by and large "roll out the red carpet." You can read accounts from opposing HC's over the years. Is there some drinking and uncontrolled zealotry. Of course, but I think this can be found in every NCAA Sports Venue in the USA.
Congrats on your very outstanding Aggie Baseball team. Actually, your team could have won both games. At critical times, the Baseball gods smiled upon the LSU Tigers.
For your information and consolations, read this account by a "presumably neutral Big XII Visitor" this weekend. It expresses more than I could ever say to you who complained about your reception At The Box in Baton Rouge:

LSU is the best baseball atmosphere I've ever been in....
While A&M is much much better in the heckling "variety", the LSU fans are the loudest, most knowledgable and tailgate for baseball like it is a football game.
It was especially impressive to see 80 year old man standing up and chanting "LSU" and getting excited.
With that said, the fans were gracious hosts to a man like me (wearing a Big 12 Baseball hat with a media pass on). From the Aggies I talk to, they received the same exact reception.
I did talk to a few people about the LSU fans chanting "Tiger Bait" at opposing fans walking to the game, but several instances, I saw Aggies walk up to the LSU fans and the Tiger fans throw them a beer. How about that?
At the conclusion of Sunday's game, the LSU fans gave Texas A&M a standing ovation and also tried to get the A&M team to do a victory lap of their own, like LSU did after the game.
Out of Big 12 play, the Tigers have earned a respect from me that isn't received by many teams, especially out of the conference.
Thanks Tigers for being a gracious host and I hope to head back to "The Box" very soon.
On a side note, I was told today by a very knowledgable source in Baton Rouge that the Tigers will be playing in a new park by 2006. It will be a sad day when Alex Box bites the dust. While the 'ole boy isn't exactly pristine, it has served its purpose as the "cathedral" of college baseball.
As far as I'm concerned, Baton Rouge is the Mecca of college baseball.
Just my two cents....

I am a huge big 12 fan but I have to admit that I was hoping LSU won because they have the best fans at the CWS.

I'm so glad that our team declined to take a lap around the field after losing. That is a sure sign that you're just happy to be there.
I was dissappointed that I didn't get to go, because I'm much rather go to LSU for a baseball game than a football game, and who knows when we'll meet again (never will in non-conference play, you can count on that).

I love the LSU baseball fans. They are very knowledgeable about the game, stay loud, have awesome tailgates, and have great attendance. And still, they still remain courteous to the other team and the visitors. Last year, after Baylor lost to them in Game 3, there were LSU fans standing by the visiting player's exit and they gave rounds of applause to Chris Durbin, David Murphy, and several other guys as they left.
Good baseball fans down there at LSU.

Baylor,
I remember talking to CTBruin and Cootbear and them telling me how great the LSU fans were.
TWK,
I've been to an LSU football game down their... a little different type of fan, that's for sure.
