Interested to see what y'all think are some of the best/most memorable walk-up songs throughout Aggie Baseball history? Here's one that I'll never forget to get us started…

Caleb Shofner - Blood of Cu Chulainn (the greatest in my opinion)

I'm also not old enough to have experienced this first hand, but was John Byington's song "Big Bad John?" If so, that might be about as legendary as it gets. Excited to see what we come up with!

Thebeau's Shipping Up to Boston was one of my favorites.

Yes, Byington had Big John. I liked Shofners as well. I believe it was Naquin who had Kick it in the Sticks one year which was a popular one.

There was a "tournament" of the best walk up songs about 10 years ago during games at Olsen. Big John won, I believe Indian Outlaw (Luke Anders) came in second.

TNT was one of the top choices as well.

Eddie Lang used Skeelo - I Wish

He was listed at 5'-6"

Brooks Raley had Superstar by Lupe Fiasco. The verse he used

If you are what they say you are
A Superstar
Then have no fear
The crowds are here and
The lights are on and
They want a show

That's a pretty bold statement and he backed it up.
The federal government was never meant to be this powerful.

All great songs listed above! The thing about this song is it also reminds me of Johnny. Came out around or after the 2012 season and man did the lyrics match Johnny, on and off the field.

My favorite walk up was Johnny Cash's Gods Going to Cut You Down. Can't remember off hand the closer that used it. Loved it.

I know that Nick Banks used "God's Gonna Cut You Down" as his walk-up song, but I'm not sure which pitcher used it as well

It was someone out of the pen, but I don't remember beyond that. I feel like it was a lefty

Back in 89 all of the walk ups were tied to the players names - I prefer that more than some generic rap songs being used. However, I did get a kick out of Jace's song. It's bold and he can back it up.

That should work. Thanks for sharing! Love the list of all the situational songs at the bottom of the list of walk-up songs

Some were great, some were forced but I can still remember the walk-up songs for that season's starters. My favorite was for Jim Neumann, "Don't Mess Around with Jim"

… You don't tug on superman's cape

You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger
And you don't mess around with Jim

During the '89 season, I liked Kirk Thompson's walk up song -Star Trek theme- not because of Star Trek, but because it was subtle. D.D. was a hoot!

Banks with Gods Gonna Cut You Down is always what I think of for walk up songs.

Just perfect with the absolute rocket arm he had out in the field.

A guy whose nickname was Sandman in the era of "Enter Sandman" thought that would be too easy. So, for giggles he walked up to Mr. Sandman by The Chordettes for two years.

Knoblauch had the worst walk up song. D.D. was great entertainment. We had never experienced anything like that environment. The team winning almost every game was icing on the cake.

Already mentioned, Anders' "Indian Outlaw" and Raley's "Superstar" are two of my favorites. The former because of the interaction with the crowd and the latter because it seemed to have just the right timing for a walk-up song.

My deep cut addition is Harrison's "Run Up". The beginning of that song gets me every single time.

I liked Jason Grimminger's Iron Man. Mainly for chanting "I qm grimminger. I have come to kick your ass."

Truitt's "Voodoo Child" was cool.

Steve Scarborough had "Scarborough Fair"

And "Ice Ice Baby..."
