While we have people still checking in to this board, curious to get thoughts of what our 23 team may look like?

Grad Players Leaving:
Claunch
Rock
Palisch
Kaler

We have no seniors. Do we think anyone will leave early for the draft?

I think our team next year will be better than this year with the experience and arms we return.

Pitchers with experience that are returning:
Dettmer
Dallas
Childress
Prager
Johnston
Cortez
Moo?

Add in the stud transfer from USC.

I'll see what I can find. I will say that with the transfer rules there is no telling what could happen with some of these positions we are losing.

Dont forget you have Kristian Curtis, Johnathan Childress and Ty Sexton as pitchers coming back from injuries


We will likely lose 3-5 more than ones who have already entered the transfer portal

We will probably be able to get 3 or four more from transfer portal that will get into the lineup

No idea but I'd think Moo may opt to leave.

You have Hogan, Wyatt Tucker, Rudis……will Sexton be healed, Childress might can come back for a 10th year, seems I heard promising news on Curtis possibly by mid-season. Plus I'm sure a couple transfers, and maybe a freshman or two/three. Pitching staff looks absolutely legit.

Going to need some bats.

Need someone with better bat than Harrison. Aggies were tough top to bottom during our run because Kaler was SS and in line up.

Rock is the biggest piece of the lineup that will need to be filled. Harrison will fill Kaler's spot. Everyone else is back. The lineup is not a concern.

My guess is he will likely be back but Werner is a draft eligible sophomore.

Coach will reload. I gotta think it'll be easier to find transfers after this run. Coach has proven he can evaluate talent and coach em up. Future is bright if Biden doesn't bankrupt the country first.

Of all the transfers from four year schools each made a significant impact this season with the exception of Xavier Lovett (who I think they are still liking)

If we can get two or three like Rock Moss etc we should be in good shape.

Warner, Targac and Bost are draft eligible position players who could leave but I think each of them would be better suited to stay one more year since they would still have the Covid extra year for draft negotiation

Don't forget the middle IF transfer from ASU.

Kid was hurt last season but was all PAC12 at 3rd as a freshman

claunch leaving will be very difficult to replace. i have not seen a catcher gun down that many consecutive runners.

there may be some senior transfers from other programs again...like Rock, Claunch, et al

This is what i have right now without any added movment via transfer portal and or draft

This is an anticipated lineup with gaps hopefully from players coming into TAMU

Lineup

1. CF Thompson
2. 3B Warner
3, !B Moss
4, LF/DH Bost
5. 2B Targac
6. RF Minnich
7. C ?????
8. OF. DH ?????
9. SS Harrison

I see three players who could step into those slots on the roster but all of them are prime transfer portal losses as well

Targac is a true 2020 soph coming Junior. Unless he is age eligible, ??? he isn't draft eligible.

I dont see Weigman playing this season in 2023...just my opinion but i think he takes full on football the first year

Uhhhh, draft isn't until July.

C is the big need. Lot of portal kids from other SEC teams, surprising lsu w/7 & MSU w/10. Mizzu leads the way w/13, USCe has 9.

P w/potential from tu entered portal today, Nixon. A Claunch clone will be hard to find.

Interesting that Werner is still listed as INF/RHP. Maybe he can be 1 of those guys....
