Incredible that the Ags even got to the CWS especially after our start this season and then considering our total lack of an average to above average Friday/Saturday starting pitcher on the team. Not to mention our total lack of work with pitchers on fielding bunts and squibbers off the mound. Maybe next season during fall and spring practice, the Ags will really attempt bunts in scrimmages, time and time again so that, the several times other teams bunt, we have a better than 25% chance of getting them at first and also that the few times our guys try to bunt, maybe they can get it in play and down one line or the other. Anyway, we Ags are darn lucky to be in Omaha and we need to keep cheering for this team to finally break thru and win a few there. It can be done!

Well, I added Linus to my Peanuts/STL bobble head collection on Tuesday. Maybe I'll put them in front of the set for our next game and see if they're lucky?!?
Our problems showed today. We have another chance Sunday. We were not lucky to get here. Our previous record at the CWS has no bearing to this team. One game at a time.
While I appreciate this particular team may have overachieved getting to Omaha any kind of moral victory rings hollow. College baseball is a regional sport that 20, maybe 25 programs actually get support, resources, money, facilities, cooperative weather, access to talent in their backyard, etc. the Ags have had all of this for at least 4 decades now and have 1 win in Omaha to show for it. CWS every 3-4 years should be the bar and an Omaha record like the Sooners have should also be the benchmark.

I think people have the right to be frustrated if they want to. As a program we've won 1 game in 40 years at the CWS. That's pretty damn sad for a college program that holds itself as one of the best in the state/nation.
It's also fine to be cheerful for Sunday, but to poo-poo people for airing out their frustrations is an odd stand as well

So here's the thing with that.
We just fired a coach that had us playing decently. Not great but decent. We fired him knowing that would lead to a big reset and many thought we wouldn't make the postseason this year.
For this season, the team far exceeded expectations, won the West, and made it to Omaha. To be ahead of schedule is not a bad thing, even if today a few people just say "der her 0 wins in Omaha "
I think a good portion of the folks "airing out their frustrations" haven't watched this team all year and lack the understanding of exactly how far this team has come to get here.
I'm just waiting for the "Fire Schloss" posts. Man, with the way some people are posting you would think he stole your wife and ran over your dog on the way to Omaha to intentionally lose.
I'd say that's a good assessment. I'm seeing people post frustrations on social media that, to my knowledge (as a friend) have never been interested in Aggie baseball.
OK I'm going to stand up for Kansas. Sure it's predominately flat and windy BUT it's a great place to raise a family and it's certainly not a woke culture.
They generally like Aggies over t sips and are friendly folks. They play great basketball and dang it it's my home now. Plus it's driving distance to Omaha and I'm coming up Sunday

Hey. He hasn't won a game in Omaha for the Ags. And if I learned one thing over the last 15 years, "wins in Omaha" are the only stat that matters.

I'm frustrated and sad because this is how things always go for us in Omaha, but I step back and think about how magical this season has been and how bright our future is. There will always be those that like to be miserable, and you just have to tune them out. Sports should be enjoyable.
Because it is likely the only games they watch.

Nobody's blaming anybody for being frustrated. I was frustrated as hell today.
But there's a ton of posts that cross the line when it comes to disrespecting the players, and plenty of over the top whining/*****ing and mostly from people who never show up on game threads until such time as the team is struggling, and they promptly disappear again when things turn around. Then they show right back up if things go south again.
Everybody knows people like this in every day life. Completely emotionally immature, loser-mentality types who care more about their doomsday predictions being right than the team actually winning.
And my God, it gets old. Everyone here wants A&M to win and invests a ton of time in supporting the team, and the woe is me, crybaby crap doesn't add to the game thread or make the experience any less frustrating for all concerned. It makes it much worse, in fact.
I feel silly even explaining this, because it's so obvious.
Sometimes people who are just expressing some frustration in a reasonable way catch some shrapnel because everyone's fed up with the barrage of bull*****

This is the assumption that I can't stand on Texags. I would disagree and say that many of us that are frustrated have followed this team from Day 1. For some reason, because we are frustrated and expected more out of this team today, we are just people who all of a sudden started following Aggie baseball.
I'm pissed that we didn't win this game today. Despite our obvious deficiencies like quality starting pitching and infield defense, I expected this team to win. This mentality that we should just be happy to be in Omaha because this team is made up of a group of "Island of Misfit Toys" and that we have glaring deficiencies is why we haven't won in Omaha since we beat Kansas in 1993.
Having said all of that, I have complete faith in Schloss and his staff to reverse the curse. He's not happy just to be there and has said as much in interviews. He wants to win and win big.
I apologize for my poor choice of words earlier today. When I'm wrong, I will own up to it. Frustration got the better of me. You're right…I have to be better.

Your welcome to not stand it, but I've watched this happen every time we get to tournament time and watch people make it abundantly clear that they've got zero clue about the team. I also didn't say everyone.
