Need a little help here guys. Takin my girlfriend to the astros game tuesday night in Houston. I got the directions from CS off of mapquest, but those can be hit or miss. anyone that can give me simpler directions or any other info like where to park would be my new best friend.

well, maybe not, but it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you been to Houston before?

If you have just go like you're going to the Galleria and then exit 59. I can't remember the street exit you need to take, but the stadium is right off the highway and you should have no problem seeing it as you approach. I want to say that one of the main streets is Texas, but I think that one is blocked off during games. Hope that helps and I didn't just confuse you.

Take Hwy 6 to 290
Take 290 all the way to 610
go south on 610
take 610 to I-10 and go east

Take the Downtown Destinations Exit (I'm about 90% sure that's what the sign says)

Then take a left on Commerce, Franklin, or Congress (They're all one ways down there <-- by that I mean, I'm not sure which one you can turn left on)
I normally park at a lot along Franklin, its $5 and a short walk to the stadium

It's really easy if you stay on IH-10 to just past downtown, take 59 south, the first exit off 59 is Hamilton, take it and as soon as you're off the freeway there are parking lots there, just on the east side of Minute Maid...

Follow jwr's directions.

I thought it was the Capitol exit off of 59. The stadium is right next to the freeway and just north of the George R. Brown.

If you go the 290/610/10/59 route soon after you take the Hamilton exit there's a parking lot on the left. Not blacktopped like lots closer to the park, but it's $8.00 vs. $10.00 or more closer; it's about a 5 minute walk from there, but easy in and easy out.

I normally park at the Four Seasons there is a garage near the hotel, it was $4 last season and it isn't that far of a walk.

No matter which way you get to downtown be careful once you get there...those new trains are dangerous.

jwr, thanks for the directions, they were very easy to follow. the girlfriend actually believed i knew where i was going.

Pay attention to the grass...people work hard to make it look nice.

the lemonade at the tiki hut place on the club level is really good.
