Rumored contract was seven years and last guy's contract extension expired naturally after multiple extensions . Might as well be!

I do think we need to be supportive and fill the park. Gives him the best chance to succeed. I also believe garnering fan support is the responsibility of the athletic department, but Schloss clearly believes it is impactful to his recruiting as well.

Despite Blair's sterling example of building a fan base with "retail" political strategies, the coaches should merely be additive to the school's marketing and advertising. Doing it the other way guarantees fair weather fans.

I did not have huge expectations going into 2022, so yes. We got a coach that most here at TexAgs were begging for, someone whose ceiling was higher than RC's and many here were willing to risk seasons with a lower floor in hopes of that higher ceiling. Schloss took the Froggies to Omaha five time, making noise most of those trips. I think six games into his tenure here is a little too early for the doom and gloom.

I am. I just want to see improvement each year. I'm hoping for a regional this year, but as long as the team finishes better than last year and then improves from here on out I'm good

So far the starting pitching is my main reason for optimism so far

This weekend changed nothing for me.

I wasn't counting on dramatic improvements this year. I never believe that our major problem under Childress was instruction. The problem was talent, and unless you get real lucky on transfers, or holdovers suddenly developing, it's hard to fix that in one year.

However, I will say that this year may be tougher than I was expecting. I thought we'd run up some wins against a pretty easy non-conference schedule, then maybe find a way to stay near .500 in SEC play (which might be good enough to get into the tournament). If I had to bet right now, I'd say we're looking at something more like last year results-wise. Maybe they will turn it around, but the direction right now is not positive.

Yes. I am actually very encouraged by the starting pitching.

Obviously, getting Werner back at 3B will be a big help, but I am optimistic that the guys will figure out how to get RISP in and give the staff more run support. Disappointing weekend no doubt, but the optimism remains for me

Short term: no

Long term: yes

I think we have to be! I wouldn't want an other coach and staff than who we have right now. Both of Sundays starters looked great! Its going to take time and we've only played 2 weeks! I didn't expect us to have a championship team this year, we are moving in the right direction and thats a great thing!!! Gig 'Em…. See yall in Frisco!!! (Sec 107 Saturday)
