The traditional look with actually showing socks is best IMO (striped stirrups all the "more bester") , but I can live with the long pants style as long as the player does not wear them so blousy that it looks as if they are wearing footie pajamas.

When you see the DJ and Dance Team on the Dugouts, it will give you something else to worry about and will probably forget about the socks

Neither is exclusive of the other. I very much doubt many top recruits would shy away from any top program due to how a team chooses to wear its pants. If I were a 17 year old kid with the talent to be recruited by a number of quality programs, this would not even be on my radar.

Let each player decide.
