Sippie was a game under ,500 against the SEC this season although most of those games were against the best of the best.

So Texas finished 1-6 vs. the SEC West this year, correct? And one of those losses was getting shut out by the 13th best team in the league. Impressive.

Give them credit, the Horns have a well-balanced ball club, fundamentally very sound, lots of good players.

It wasn't like Miss State run-ruled them, weren't both losses one-run / close games?

Plus, they eliminated two really good teams, #3 Tennessee and Virginia, and beat Miss State once.

Sips played MSU 5 times this year and lost 4 of them. The better team advanced.
