Thanks to all the seniors and players for grinding through the season. There were plenty of low points, but the team came to play every day; hope today isn't any different. Let's send the seniors, Coach Childress, and those players who may not be back off with a win. Thanks for representing our university.

Heard on TexAgs since this series was so meaningful that they could play Sunday if needed. Now it's not really needed.

Today is a sad day. I've been a diehard Aggie sports fan my whole life, especially football and baseball. I started watching and attending games near the end of Tom Chandler's reign as head coach. I very rarely missed a game during Mark Johnson's tenure up until I joined the Army in 1999. During my time in the Army (1999-2013) I followed Aggie baseball on-line and/or on the radio. Since I got out of the Army in 2013, I've only been to a couple of games live at Olsen because I don't really do well with large crowds anymore. This is the first time that I can remember where I've known exactly what date our season was going to end. All season long, I've been hoping "This is the weekend the AGS turn their season around and start making a run, " but it never happened. I will watch today's game because I know it will be approximately 9 months before the next AGGIE baseball game.

I would like to Thank Coach Childress for the over 600 wins as the AGGIE head-coach, and wish him well in his future endeavors. Wish the win total was a lot higher, and I wish his coaching career at A&M was ending on a much brighter note.

The only reason not to pitch to him is to try to add another win for the NCAA resume. They have some winning to do in Hoover to make the NCAAs, however.

I get the sadness but remember this is the last time some of these boys will ever play on Olsen field or really competitively outside of for-fun leagues, ever. While their hearts may not be in it in some ways I'm sure that's very important to them in others. This is a watershed moment for many of them.

They rep us. We support them. The world sees what matters to all of us. I'll note a winning program is a benefit and to be honest is a result of great partisanship. I look forward to seeing outcomes that show appreciation for the support and have an upward trajectory.

I also hope we can announce a real expansion and growth plan not just for BBP but for our entire baseball program. I want to hear what innovations are targeted across the board from recruiting to coaching to marketing to gameday experience to program goodwill outreach to the non-school regional communities.

This is a very good program with a very solid but not great history. We need to add some championships at the conference and the national level. It is important IF SPORTS are the FRONT PORCH to demand great outcomes. Meh outcomes mean meh impact as a marketing vector.

Look at the uptick due to Fisher.

Btw: the first step is a post-mortem of what happened this year and some honesty about "what's different this time?"

I see you offering broad latitude to the administration for getting this right. But today I want a series win most of all!!!
