Good job bro. 2 batters faced, 2 K's. 15-2!

With the tying and winning runs at 2nd and 3rd no less. Great job!

he did an outstanding job coming in under that pressure. the next to last houston batter (name?) put up a hell of an at bat. since he was a lefty, Rampy's curve wouldn't be a good choice, so he wisely stayed away from it. the hitter was sitting on the fastball, and fouled off 5 of them, i believe. two pitches before the eventual strikeout, i remember thinking that if Rampy had an offspeed or change that he felt confident with, the hitter would be so far in front of it. Rampy delivered it, it was perfect, and the hitter was sooooo far in front. wonderful wonderful at bat.

boggs also had a great at bat and fortunately that one ended up well for us.

Hah, actually...I would call Meyer more of a middle relief type guy and Rampy a closer. But what a duo eh.

Hopefully, there is enough confidence in Rampy now that it won't be a do or die situation before he gets into the game next time. We were cooked by all rights last night. That was about the only way out without at least extra innings.

A closer should have a clean slate to work with (nobody out, nobody on), not a 90% chance of failure. We got the 10% somehow.
