Going to need to sacrifice a lot of chickens to make up for this level of disregard of the baseball gods.

And no, a bucket of chicken will not be an acceptable substitute.

The College World Series accounts for tens of millions of tourism dollars to the city.

We could have a war on US soil and you can bet your ass Omaha is greenlighting the CWS.

Isn't that an NCAA event?

Other cities have canceled more lucrative events.

They've shut down the NBA, they shut down the Houston Rodeo, good chance MLB opening day will be to empty stadiums. CWS will not allow fans if this is still going on then

NCAA has already banned fans from March Madness. They'll do it in Omaha with no compunctions if it's still an issue in June.

Obviously I'm exaggerating, but it would be a huge loss to Omaha if they didn't allow fans to attend.

I understand it's only for the safety of the public if they blocked it but I can only hope things get better as we get out of flu season and can contain the virus more effectively.
