I believe it's all signing bonus. There used to be a time when clubs were free to dangle things like a major league contract and such, but that changed in the last CBA (veteran players prefer to see money spent on guys contributing to the big league club). So, you get your signing bonus, and until you get to the big leagues, it's minor league paychecks, which are subsitence level in the low minors.mullokmotx said:
