3 runs on Blaum. Walks aren't helping either. Tiny strike zones should not exist, the zone has exact boundaries in the rules... not whatever Blue feels like

I can't remember the last time I saw a college strike zone this tight. Usually they're cartoonishly wide. I guess you'd have to say he's consistent though

You can't expect pitchers to be perfect, but both balls were hit right at Blaum. If we hope to do anything in the postseason our offense and fielding are gonna have to step up at some point.

Some have been way off, but this zone is tight. Balls 1 and 3 (I think) of lacy's last walk are both regularly called strikes.

I mean, the umpires are not infallible. There have been some bad calls as well as bad pitches and bad fielding. It's a combination of things INCLUDING bad calls at the plate.

I still can't believe that they didn't charge Blaum with an error on the play in the 5th inning. I only say this because of how it impacts Asa's ERA. ( Nothing personal, and NOT piling on. I only say this because I was taught that if you got a glove on it, and don't make the play then it is an error).
