There are 700% more females in this picture than I would have expected. So double kudos to this group

there was a time in the 90's when A&M had quite a bit of success at the Disch and winning there was not a surprise and such.

but once Augie got t.u. rolling at the turn of the century...maroon-n-white wins became few and far between on the 40 acres. And that's what makes a win like tonight so big. It's a rare event. Hopefully going forward wins in Austin become more frequent

Logan Foster: BIG brass ones for the 2 out, 2 strike, 2RBI, shut-em-the-f-up single in top 9

Wait? They show sports there!?

Yep, especially from the year 2005!

I love TexAgs. We hate Texas (we do) and never want to play them again (well, I do) BUT we get a midweek game without e yea innings to almost 50 pages.

You want to know why folks keep pushing for us to play them in every sport? 40+ pages for a meaningless midweek game. That's why.

Look, if we are going to play them in ANYTHING, I want to beat the pants off of them.

I'd rather not play them at all though.

Really wouldn't bother me at all if this series ended. And this is in the afterglow of beating them. As has been said already, this weekend is much bigger IMO

Tonight was fun but quite honestly, I enjoyed beating purple Baylor more

I don't want to play them. Couldn't care less if we don't schedule them in any sport.

But if they are on the schedule, I hope we pound themeven better if it's done in Austin.

I was also surprised Hoehner could tough his way back in the lineup, but he caught a great game and went 3-5 with 2 RBI on his home run to left center.

I'd rather see us schedule Texas for an alternating 3 game series the weekend before conference play. Ideal schedule before conference:

Week 1 cupcake
Week 2: home and home with someone decent (Pepperdine, Fresno, etc)
Week 3 tournament
Week 4 home and home with Texas (reverse home/away from week 2)

I would like us to at least each host each other every year midweek. Would also be nice to do a 2/1 weekend series like we used to do.

Wish we had Tech/Baylor/t.u. In some form or fashion on the schedule every year in basketball/baseball.

I'd be fine with a 2/1 series with Texas and then alternate 2/1 with tech, TCu and Baylor. I don't like playing important games or bragging rights games midweek though.

I'd be cool and saying "welp, scoreboard" and refusing to play them again like they did to us in 2012. Except we won't come crawling back later begging to play again.

Why on earth would anyone want to play Tech in baseball? They've got a nice program, at the moment, but playing them means, sometime, going to Lubbock, and I've no desire to ever go to Lubbock for baseball again. EVER. If you've ever been there for baseball, you'd feel the same way.

We've played Baylor the last 3 years in neutral site tournaments. That's fine with me if it happens, but I don't see any need for us to go out of our way to make it happen.

Playing one game a year with the sips is enough for me, and frankly, I could do without the one.

Aggies now 3-0 vs. BDF this year, right?

I'll bet we haven't beaten sip, frog and rice in the same season since the old SWC days.

The only "folks" that keep pushing for us to play are the sports writers, who need the easy interest for their jobs.

Any Aggie who is concerned with the good of our AD over selfish desires for nostalgia knows that playing them again only means getting back into bed with a bad business partner

agree but as a 3 game mid week set home away home in consecutive weeks alternating every year.

Very proud of tonight's win for the program!

But...
Watson at first base for six weeks? I guess he can only get better. 0-4 in first start with an error. This freshman better grow up in a hurry. I wonder who the next guy up may be?

Frizzell's struggles continue. Now 4 of 27 since Vandy series (.148). Simply CANNOT have a DH in the lineup putting up those numbers.

So in addition to Childress needing to better learn his bullpen, whose error put the sips back in the game in only a few pitches tonight, he has got to figure out how to get at least average production out of two giant holes in the lineup that in the SEC are generally value add. He hasn't had to do much coaching in the past few years, but his work is cut out for him in 2019. Hope he can get the job done.

So in addition to Childress needing to better learn his bullpen

I don't get this post....Childress' pitching staff had the better starter for the first 6 innings.

Jozwiak had been a reliable presence out of the bullpen and came into today's game with a 2.59 ERA. He was leaving things up and got jumped quick.

Childress then manages the bullpen through match-ups with Weber, Miller and Kalich (with people complaining all the way on the thread about his choices)....but those choices gave up one hit and no earned runs over the final 2.2 innings of the game. Meanwhile, the Aggies tacked on late against the pitchers Price tabbed to finish the game.

That seems like a pretty decently managed game to me. Pushed the right button with Saenz and everything beyond Jozwiak's rough outing.

The Team ERA is 2nd in SEC only games, and lowest overall in the conference. They've given up the fewest earned runs, 2nd fewest runs, 3rd lowest BAA, 2nd fewest walks, and have the highest amount of strike outs. Weber, Miller, Jozwiak, Roa, Saenz, Menefee, Weber and Kalich have all been used often and effectively out of the bullpen...which is a credit to them, and I would think a credit to the pitching coach. What exactly are they supposed to be learning or figuring out, how to never give up any runs ever?

Childress led an injury riddled team into rival territory and beat #7 on the road, with a good performance from the starter, most of the bullpen and bats and in the past month has taken 2 out of 3 from the #1 team in the country and swept a conference opponent on the road...and we still get a post about "hope this guy gets around to coaching".

Watson at first base for six weeks? I guess he can only get better

He had 12 official ABs before today's game and is playing because of the potential the coaches have seen during practice. I'm sure his best days on the field are in front of him, but I'd also assume they will playing a number of guys in the lineup to see who sticks.

If you look at his post he was almost rooting for us to lose so he could really rip Childress. He just completely ignores the fact that Childress has exceeded all expectations this season and now beat Texas on their field with injuries and holes but he can only focus on the negative even after a win like tonight. Really tells you about a person when they are that itching to complain.
