Looks like half an inch off the black is a strike.
This series has the potential to really be great, from a purely technical/competitive standpoint, and that play illustrates why!
Kramer elects to catch a ball with one out and bases loaded in foul territory. Runner tags up, batter gets to second and the next guy hits a ground rule double to go up 3-0. Can't ask a guy not to catch that ball in foul territory though. Baseball is a funny game sometimes.

Kramer should have simply thrown the ball to his cut-off man. Take the out, stop the runner's from advancing further, and we are talking about the Gators only getting one run.
I haven't played competitive ball in ages, but isn't the first baseman supposed to back up home while the second baseman covers the bag at 2nd for a throw at the plate? I agree that Kramer should have eaten it and allowed the run to cross.

I didn't bother to research LSU's pitching situation since I had to work while at work today, but I assume the Swamp Kitties will have a starter ready to go tomorrow and Poche for game 3 if needed. Fun game to watch for a neutral observer. They're so evenly matched, I could see LSU taking the 2nd game, but would not be surprised if the Gators finished them off tomorrow.
Florida will be at the same disadvantage tomorrow as we were tonight. If we can't win two games with Poche and Lange starting, then it's not meant to be.
We haven't figured out Singer, but we won't see him again. Part of me wonder if we tie it up if Smith is called safe there. It's a shame replay isn't being used more throughly to make sure we get the right calls. Hopefully that changes for next year.
