Gabe, has TCL caught up to the Alaska League as far as quality?
That is so not true. So you are saying that out of the 40 summer leagues, TCL is near the bottom? Actually TCL is still considered in the top 10 summer leagues.Aggie said:DadofEaston said:

TCL is pretty much the bottom of the barrell in summer ball quality

The reason the TCL is having problems because their games are a joke. Don't go to a Bomber game expecting a baseball game. It's all about promoting and high school antics.

In 2013 Brazos Valley Bombers were named national champions of all collegiate baseball leagues.Aggie said:dirkjones said:That is so not true. Haha.. No it's not
I'm not sure I would assume that using a ranking from 2010 would still be true. The TCL has contracted from a 9 team league in 2010 to a 5 team league now. I don't know enough about each league to say whether or not the TCL is in the Top 10, but I think it's pretty clear it's not a tier 2 college summer league. Flipping the rosters of the TCL teams, the bombers and acadiana have players from decent programs, but there are a ton of players from JUCOs and small schools in the TCL. I think the main appeal for the league is that our guys can stay close to home and work out in College Station if they are on the bombers. That's fine for some of the guys buried on our depth chart, but I'd rather see some of the experienced guys challenge themselves in more competitive leagues. Facing a bunch of JUCO / UTSA / SFA / SHSU pitchers isn't going to do much to improve guys who have seen SEC arms.Tex100 said:
