I think this is spot on. If their starter can't go deep into the game tomorrow, they probsbly have no quality pitchers to come in. The guys we have available may be shaky but I suspect that they are much better than what Davidson can throw out there.

That said Davidson showed a lot of grit today coming back from 6-0. I don't expect them to roll over.

what finally happened is that Davidson made a mistake defensively in the 15th. Up to that point they had fielded the bunts cleanly and made some nice plays.

one adjustment we may see tomorrow...don't bunt runners over for Janca and Homan. They were 1 for 12 today. Let the #6 and #7 hitters swing away

and another thing...offensively the Ags really need walks from the opposing pitcher or errors from the opposing defense. If Davidson can trot guys out there that can throw strikes...the Wildcats will stay in the game

What a fun game. Tip of the hat to Davidson, .... nice job. Those guys give it their all, and they will become my second favorite team to follow. This game was everything that is pure and good about the sport. Hope the next one is just as fun to watch.

Either help from the opposing team or Bombs, we are horrible at manufacturing runs.

not if your team hits for power.

Davidson's starter was tired in the 6th, 7th, and 8th innings...and throwing hittable pitches. But the Ags just turned those into singles. Last year's team would have pounded those into the gaps or over the fence

the Ags had 18 hits in the game.

14 singles, 3 doubles, and 1 home run.

one of the doubles was a blooper and the other should have been stopped by the first baseman.

(and the wind was blowing out today)

Same here. Just put phone down and enjoyed game. After the game I think there were like 1.6k missed posts on my watchlist.

And Beau. Carry a backup battery for games. You never know when they will last 5 hours. I thought Rice people were supposed to be smart.

I was at the game and not TexAgging but I like to skim thru the game threads afterwards sometimes to be entertained by the roller coaster and banter.

109 pages, though, I don't think so.
